Banos de Aguasanta is a small town located in the Central part of Ecuador, next to the Tungurahua volcano, its location makes it a beautiful valley plenty of beauty and nature, surrounded by mountains, falls, rivers, canyons, offers us many chances for adventure sports and make it a perfect place for pleasure and leisure.
Surrounded by around 100 falls and valleys, it is an awesome spot for trying or training Cayoning. If you are asking yourself what is canyoning, it is just Canyon Exploration Using some required techniques, but no experience is necessary if you wonder to join us. For canyoning in Banos we have some routes to offer but we will point out 4 of them. Rio Blanco, Chamana, Chamanapamba and Cashaurco are the best places for doing this activity.
As well known Banos is a place for nature and adventure, one of the most beloved adventures is River Rafting, in the Pasataza River is possible to reach level 5, that is for people with experience, in normal trips we just reach level 3+ that is enough for beginners, even children can manage it. We have daily departures in the morning 09:00 and at noon 14:30 both tours are the same it will be up on your wishes, the time you want to do it. In any case is a tour full of emotion and adrenaline.
Jungle Cuyabeno is the second largest rainforest in Ecuador, and one of the most diverse in the world, it is located and the end of the Andes Region that makes it a unique Jungle, it has an unknown number of species of plants and animals, although this number is smaller as in the Yasuni National Park. For visiting Cuyabeno minimum 3 days are required, but we recommend the 4 days to enjoy the whole adventure, we mean in the 3 days is not possible to visit the Secoya Comunity.
Amazon tours from Banos are done in the Pastaza Province within the Amazon Region of Ecuador, this is a secondary Jungle, this is a perfect spot for spending one or two days where we lear about plants, animales, traditions, about Kichwa culture. It is higly recommended for those who don't have much time, and for those who has never been into the Jungle.
The chimborazo reserve is one of the most important protected areas of our country, here is the highest volcano in the equator and one of the highest worldwide "volcano chimborazo". Here you can do hiking, trekking, biking and Mountain Climbing. Here we find the Andean paramo with its unique flora and fauna, here it is easy to see llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, birds, Andean foxes.
The quilotoa volcano had its last eruption 600 years ago or so, in which it had an implosion of its crater. Forming a boiler which was filled with water to form the beautiful Quilotoa lake. According to historians in the time of the Incario, this lagoon was visited by the Incas to carry out energetic rituals. today it is one of the most beautiful lakes on the planet
Banos is surrounded by abundant nature, valleys, mountains, waterfalls, forests, rivers, lagoons. We are surrounded by around 100 waterfalls, 8 of them are formed online ready to be visited. There are different ways to visit them, bicycle, Chiva, private tour. The biggest and most impressive is the "Pailon del Diablo" fall, which is 20km from the city.
Originally built to observe the eruptions of the tungurahua volcano, the house of the tree or the swing of the end of the world have become an unmissable place to visit. It is located at almost 3000mt of atura, from where we have a beautiful view of the volcano and all the surrounding landscape, being there in the afternoon, you can appreciate beautiful sunsets.
For lovers of nature and outdoor sports, cycling will enchant you. There are some routes in Banos, but the most visited is the "Waterfalls Route", in which 7 waterfalls are visited, the tour is done alone, in our office we provide the map and the instructions to make this route. doing it alone is very fun, you have your own time and there is no pressure, in each waterfall there are activities, which can be done if you like.
The swing of the end of the world, is within the 100 places to visit before dying, if you are traveling around Ecuador do not forget this point. which is full of beauty and tranquility. You can hike, take a tour, rent a jeep, a quad or book a 4hrs tour with horses to go there. It is located at 2800mt to 45min from Banos, with amazing views to the Tungurahua volcano.
Not far from our office is the San Francisco Bridge, a 150mt height will take our breath away for a few seconds. For the most daring looking for extreme emotions From our office it takes 5min to get to the place where the guides are ready with all the necessary equipment. After testing the equipment our guides will give us instructions to perform the jump
